Owen Irving, a senior at College Prep in California, finished fifth in the Division 5 boys final by covering the 5-kilometer layout in 15:27.5 at Woodward Park in Fresno at the CIF State Cross Country Championships. Irving, who elevated from 12th place in 15:47.3 last season, helped College Prep place fifth overall as a team with 191 points.
